Sankofa

This section of our site aims to provide teaching and learning resources to complement and enhance the use of the Sankofa interactive DVD package. Soon we will be adding a Sankofa Resource Portal, exclusively designed for teachers using our educational DVD.

About the educational and interactive DVD package

• The Teachers’ Manual contains about 20 Lessons and Follow-up activities.
• We have had to lower the price by $20.00 from $120.00 because our supplier is no longer able to provide the Adinkra Symbols.  We are looking for a new supplier.
• We have added 2 additional web sites that Teachers would find useful.  Adwoa and Fule Badoe can be reached through www.afroculture.com

Future Developments

Kevin will be involved in future Parts.  He is a Historian living in Lewiston N.Y.

Part Two: It is important to note that we have already started working on Part Two: Capture and Transporting of Slaves to America. We hope to release it early 2010.

Part Three: Part Three will deal with the Life of a Slave and the Escape Through the Underground Railroad.

Part Four: Part Four will deal with Contributions of African Americans and African Canadians to their respective Societies.

Each Resource package will be for older students.
